Been gone for a bit - re-introduction...
Life has been so busy the last couple of months, I haven't been able to get to Global Paw. I find it neat that when returning after sabatical, we get the message "Hello Spiritus it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?" That's quite cool. Kudos to the people programming the board who thought of that.
What have we been busy with? Wish I could say "the dogs", but no, a quick kitchen reno that needed to be done before Christmas, two weeks of company over Christmas, and now turning a spare room into an "office". The paint is on the walls, and tomorrow is the Great Computer Move! I hate doing that. All those wires and separate pieces of equipment, plus a 6' office desk that weighs a ton needing to be moved from the basement upstairs to the new office. The nice thing about having an actual office will be that I will finally have a place to hang my show photos and rosettes. The dogs are doing great. For those that don't know me, I show and breed Belgian Shepherds (Tervuren variety). I'm in Canada, so we have varities, not separate breeds as the US does. My first show for the year won't be until May. The American National Specialty is in Nebraska this year, only 14 hours from home. It will be my first US Nationals, and I am looking forward to it. Right now in our home we have Belgian Tervurens Shay (almost 6 yr old neutered male), Skye (5.5 yr old female), Trouble (almost 4 yr old female), Jesse (8 mth old female), and Diego (2.5 yr old male) is visiting from another Breeder. We're expecting puppies in mid-March. Skye has been bred to Diego. All the work needs to be done before they arrive - we have one more room to paint and new baseboards to get on before puppies arrive. What's keeping me busy besides reno's is handling class with Diego and Jesse, halter training my foal, and playing with the dogs. I'm glad to be back to Global Paw. ![]() |

![]() Congrats on your upcoming litter, I can't wait to hear all about it and compare notes ![]() I'm also expecting a litter February 10th ![]() Where in Canada are you? Maybe we'll run into each other at some shows if you're showing in Ontario, Michigan, New York etc... Our national specialty will be in Toronto this year in October and I am SO excited, for the first time I'll have a dog of my own breeding at the specialty! ![]() |

Welcome back!
![]() It definitely sounds like you've been extra busy. Good luck with moving everything into the new office. How is your foal going? I bet she (?) has grown a lot since we last saw photos of her! |

Thanks everyone. It's good to be back
![]() Pondwader - I'm in Saskatchewan. I've never been to an Ontario show. This year the Canadian Nationals is in the Maritimes (way far away), but the American Nationals is just a hop, skip and a jump away in Nebraska, and like you, this will be my first time at any Nationals with a dog of my breeding. I'm excited. My foal (he ) is doing wonderfully. He is growing up. I will try to get some good photos of him - he'll be a little wooly, but still. He's looking good and doing well with the halter training. My pups are due mid-March. Mom is already starting to thicken a bit, and in a couple of weeks we will be going for an ultrasound. My vet is very good at following the uteran horns and counting puppies, so we will have a good idea of how many then. I will let you all know. The office is moved! Now all I need is to pick up my "border" for the top of the walls and around the window. I am bordering the room in cork-board so I can hang my rosettes. I still have to buy frames for all my show pics, but hey, it's a work in progress. I can't wait to have it all done, with pictures and rosettes proudly displayed.... ![]() |
