Newbie from the UK! lol
Hi im new to GlobalPaw!, i live in the United Kingdom (UK)... i am not blessed yet with being owned by a dog but hopefully soon i will, once i've sorted myself out. Once im sorted (and everything else lol) i hope to get a Samoyed, i prefer to get a rescue because i'd rather give a home to an animal in need.
Is there any difference in getting a rescue puppy or dog? just curious or is it mostly dependant on its background in which is was brought to the rescue/rehoming centre? etc and where would i get some good advice on Samoyed's i have seen a few around (a little while ago) but i have never managed to talk to anyone (person) to find out more about the breeds temperment, trainability and what 'not (you know what i mean lol). Are there many members here with Samoyeds? Looking forward too chatting... SwiftSamoyed |

Hi and welcome. I have a 15 year old Chihuahua and two Yorkies that just turned two.
I'm glad to hear you want to rescue a dog. Good luck with your personal order and then finding your fur-kid. |

Welcome to Global Paw!
![]() I don't have a Samoyed but I do have a Chihuahua that I rescued 12yrs ago. He's the sweetest most amazing dog I've ever owned and I highly recommend rescuing to everyone. The great thing about adopting an adult dog (my boy was around 5yrs old when I got him) is that you can already see what they're temperament and personality is like. Of course this also means that you can see any problems they have too, but a good rescue (or shelter) would never (at least to my knowledge) adopt out an animal that wasn't ready or suitable for rehoming so you shouldn't have to worry about recieving a 'problem dog' that you can't deal with. If that makes any sense? Puppies, on the other hand, are down to how you raise them. However, since I've never had the pleasure of raising a pup myself ( ) I can't really comment on that too much.Good luck in your search for the perfect Samoyed. Cass. |

Welcome to GlobalPaw!
Good luck with your search for a samoyed - I don't own one myself but I agree 100% with Cass - with an adult dog you already know pretty much what you're getting but with a pup how it turns out is largely up to you. |

Welcome aboard! Best of luck on your search! Adopting is the greatest way to go!
There is one member on here, fireworksinjuly, who has a samoyed. She's been a bit busy though, so I'm not sure you'll see her around as often as she usually is. |
