Me & My Babies
I'm quite new here so I figured I'd introduce myself, and it'd give me the excuse to post pics of my dogs! I'm Grace, I'm 14, and my dogs are Buster and Ripley. Buster is a Labrador mix, 12 years old. I have no pics of him on my computer, they're coming soon. Ripley is a Papillon, 8 months old. He's the first dog I've raised from a puppy (I was only 2 when we got Buster) and he's quite spoiled.
He's not a sweet dog, but he's a happy dog. He's hyperactive and too smart for his own good. |

Hi welcome to GlobalPaw
Ripley is a sweetie, and I can't wait to see Buster. I have a 11yr old Lab. |

Buster, about 4 years ago. He looks the same now, but a bit more gray around the face and no more of that awful coat. (He's one of those dogs that just has a coarse, itchy, wiry coat. We have him groomed regularly now, so his hair is much shorter and he's all white. Another of Ripley... Ripley, only 2 days after we brought him home. And yet another picture of Ripley. I guess I'm trying to make up for lost pics because we have ONE puppy pic of Buster. ONE. I'll take a picture of Buster tomorrow afternoon and post it here. Thanks for the welcome! ![]() |

That's my boy. He's about 5mth old in that pic.
I almost find it funny when we go for walks, half the people we meet are scared of him. I guess I just know him as the cute little puppy that cuddels in bed with me. ![]() |

I guess allot of people believe the stereotype that these breeds are all mean. My guys love people, you should see them, their whole bodies wag with their little nubs. A guy from the power company came the other day and the dogs were tethered outside, but couldn't reach the meter he had to read. He came to the front door and asked me to bring them in or he wasn't going to read the meter. I went out and there they were, with balls in their mouths wanting to play with the power guy, ohhh very scary indeed! haha |

Aww, what an adorable baby! How old is he now? I'm a sucker for dogs that look like that.. What breed is he?
I know what you mean about people being scared of your dog.. I had a Chow/Lab X named Shiner, who was aloof but not vicious, and every time I would run her alongside my bike, I could just see the people running into their houses. (lol, not literally, but that's the kind of vibe I got from them) I'm not really sure what my dog did to them all, either. She'd never bitten any of them, she'd attempted to bite a boy who regularly threw sticks, pine cones and rocks at her, and that might have spread around the neighborhood. She was a nice dog, though, she was very well-behaved, quiet, sweet... I'm never sure why people pick certain dogs to fear. Who knows.. maybe my Papillon is next. ![]() |

AWWW! Your dogs are so gorgeous!
Off-Subject, but I found the SWEETEST English Springer Spaniel today, she was running around near our yard. I let her in the yard and fed her a few dog biscuits and she smelled like ammonia. She had a collar and I brought her back to the address on the dog tags.. *shakes head* They had no fenced yard and the place I imagine the dog was kept in all the time was a large X-Pen with stakes holding it in the ground, and a tarp over it. She must have dug under it, but it was so horribly soiled in there, her water was green and she had no food.... The owners just put her back in there and kicked some rocks in the hole she dug... Do you know of anything I could do in this situation? The owners really intimidate me, they are very harsh people, but I just fell in love with that dog, I hate to see her living like that. |
