Exclamation Snookumspets
I am the lady who bought the chihuahua from snookums in July '04.
I have just read some things posted and would like those interested to know that I was extremely uneducated with regards to puppymills and their brokers. I was not aware that I would be meeting the owner of Snookumspets.com in a parking lot where he would then give me a puppy out of a van containing kennels (40+ dogs were trasported) stacked to the roof, etc. My puupy was already paid for and I had 3 children with me...I could not give him back to that horrible man. Deep down I knew something was wrong as he was coughing. I bought this puppy to love....in the end, we paid a lot of money for a horrible life lesson and lost our puupy Trooper. I am fighting the pet store and will be going to court in PEI on April 16, 2005. I have already spent more than $2600 and just purchased a plane ticket for $1600 to continue my fight with this man. Obviously this is not about the money for me...it is the principles involved here.
I truly am a good person who made a wrong decision (I am sure many others have done the same) but all I can do now is fight for the rights of these animals!

Welcome and I commend you for going after this jerk. Did you read our breeding forum? It's full of this kind of stuff and we're always trying to educate people about this...to prevent more heartache. I'm so sorry for the loss of your puppy. I do hope you can get another one.

We need to focus on the pet store owners and get all the information and photos of puppy millers on their desks, then picket the hell out of the place if they don't stop selling live animals.
There are lots of information on the net on how to stop puppy mills. It's going to take every one to stop this, not just a handful of wonderful and careing folks like the lady who purchased her Chi. from the back of a Van.
