Hello Everyone,

I'm new here, although I frequent many other forums, maybe some of you know me anyway. I have an 8 month old GSD / Border Collie mix who came from the pound all scared and hopeless. Now he thinks he is all that!

Yup, my 21st Birthday is tomorrow! Yippee! And the raincoat, I got it at the local pet store, (small privately owned one) It's good for taking him to potty when it's POURING out. Even though DH makes fun of me for buying it.

Welcome! I love your picture and the raincoat. Yes, people tend to make fun of me too when I put coats on my Doberman, but they really don't do well in extreme temperatures. And I live where it gets pretty cold in winter. Everyone thinks Dobermans are sooooo tough. They're not and their coats are so short. So, don't worry. Some dogs think they're going to melt if they get in the rain. Besides, sometimes it makes them smell doggie when they get all wet. It will protect your furniture and carpets to keep him dry. So go for it!

Glad you're here and can't wait to hear some stories about your and your dog.
