I am owned by seven dogs. Two Shelties, Skyler & Quest, two registered Border Collies and three mixed BCs. Each of them has their own story for being with me. The three mixed BCs, Chaela, Bekki & Glenn were on death row at two different Shelters when my mom (who is now deceased) helped me to rescue them. Two are spayed females and the other is a neutered male. My two reg. BCs, Newt & Kelley, also neutered and spayed were bought from two different breeders here in Va. Actuallly, Newt was from an accidental litter and has unilateral Hip Dysplasia, one reason he was neutered and Kelley sadly has Collie Eye Anomaly. She was spayed at 4 months because her eye disease is inherited. I didn't seen any reason to pass that on to any puppies she could produce. So I'm a real advocate for spaying and neutering, even for purebred dogs. Getting back to Skyler and Quest, they are also both neutered because they went oversize though purchased as show hopefuls. Quest is blue merle, white & tan and Skyler is bi-blue without any tan points. Well, guess that's enough for now. I look foward to posting on GP and meeting some new friends.

Hello to you, Chichi!! It's cool to feel at home here so soon. Glad you're a "Sheltie addict"!! I read that Brody's favorite food is "anything". LOL He and Skyler would get along great. He will even eat pickles!

Hi Sheltiepups, nice to meet you too. I use to have four Shelties, but over the years we sadly lost two of them. Piper (age 11), our very first Sheltie died due to a rare liver disease and Tucker (rescue age 5 or 6) to cancer. They were my mom's dogs. I'd love to add a third Sheltie some day to my tribe, it's true they are like potato chips.

Hi, welcome. You must have read our breeding forum before you introduced yourself. You said all the right things. LOL. Yes sireeee, there are many of us here that have strong feelings about non-reputable breeding.
Your dogs stories sound interesting and you are great for having rescued them. Can't wait for some pictures and I'm glad you've joined our nice group. Welcome. Quote:
