Well...about me

I just realized that I have never posted an intro...so here I go.

Dogs: 1 English Springer Spaniel...named Quincy. Quincy will be celebrating his 4th birthday on July 31st. Unlike a lot of dogs, Quincy is trained in English, German, and Sign Language. He knows all the basics, plus he has been trained to recognize specific toys and objects by name alone. But, through all of this, he still won't heal to me when walking. . There was a time when Quincy was rather chubby, yet after discovering his love for racket balls, he quickly lost the extra 5 pounds.

Me: My name is Michael, and I spend all my free time online. This may sound odd, but I have made a name for myself by working hard, both at work and at home. I am an intern for a major computer company, as well as owning my own web design and web hosting company. When I am away from my computer, I enjoy reading. Civil War and Travel are my favorite genras of literature. My next book I would like to tackle is 'Ulysses' by James Joyce. I currently manage 2 active websites, but that will change greatly in the next few months.

As of June 25th, I am 17 years of age, I have twin sisters who are 9, and I will be graduating in May of 2005. After I graduate, I hope to become a writer of sorts.

About GlobalPaw: GlobalPaw was originally thedogpark.net. And, before we were a forum, we were an informational site. The original site at thedogpark.net failed terribly, as our information was outdated, and boring. So, I scratched the site, and created a community...which also failed. So, thedogpark.net sat idly for about 6 months, until I began the first forum. The first forum ran off phpbb, which was slow and generic. The server we ran off of, (as my version 1 mods can attest to) was terrible. So, after a falling out with the original server owner, we moved to our current server. About a month after we moved in, a hacker decided to move us out. Some of you may remember the message I posted after we were attacked.

In May of 2004, with school done, I purchased the program we use now, and despite some server error and downtime, we are doing very well. Thanks all of you for making this forum what it is, and what it will be.

Oh gawd... Pepe is 10" long, but she will chase SUV's. And he has a DEEP bark, It always surprises people how deep a bark she has, and she's barking after a car 200x bigger than her.. man....

I think thats a common trait among toy breeds...not the deep bark, but the chasing things and dominant behavior. My theory is that people pick these little dogs up and encourage 'Alpha Dog' behavior..

Yeah, with the showering of gifts, and the constant attention. Sometimes Rocky (whom I got after Pepe) tries to sleep in Pepe's Spot, and gets a sore nose.
