Hello new here from NEPA
Hi I have 3 standard poodles and 2 toy poodles. One of the little ones I adopted from shelter in S Dakota at 7 weeks. He is now 7 months. I am meeting with the surgeon on Monday to dicuss his back leg. he has a luxating paetella 3/4, which I hear is pretty bad. He hasn't put any weight on the leg for 3 weeks. I knew when I adopted him he might have a problem. Hope the vet can fix him, he is very active. Poor little guy!

Hello and welcome. Hope to see and meet your four soon.
I have a Yorkie who had both knees done at the same time. She had a grade 3. The recovery is anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks and important that they be confined so they can't run around. Then it's just baby steps from then on, very gradually letting them on a leash outside to walk around a little, increasing the time a little bit each week till they are healed. I'm sure your baby will do just fine. |
