I have just introiduced a bitch into my familyof two one bitch and her son. I live in Spain and unfortunately they are not dog lovers like we are. She is 5 years old has been a breeding bitch all her life. Was taken 30 miles from her home and abandoned. She seems to have settled well but growls at my dog. He is 3 and a lovely natured lad. He has been done so has she. She is not aggressive with him growls and turns her back. Help anyone

Hi, welcome to Global Paw!

It's sad to hear about the history of your new dog, but then again it's lovely to hear that she has a nice new home with you and your family. How long have you had her for? She might just need more time to settle in and feel secure. I'm sure she's had a rough life up until now, so she may take quite a while to start feeling comfortable around everyone (including your other dog).

Sorry, I'm not much help. Where abouts in Spain do you live? I was judging there this weekend and had a great time, now back to a freezing cold England after spending the day at 3.00 am in Spain walking around the local fair!

Hello and welcome to YT. As for the growling and turning the back, I don't see a real problem. Most newcomers are nervous and growling is a way to keep other dogs from getting too close. I think she will settle down when she finds out no one is going to hurt her.
AHHHHH SPAIN!!! My favorite place in the entire world. I'd give anything to go back and live out the rest of my life. I'm sorry they don't accept dogs as we do. I had a Wolf/GSD and all my neighbors loved her. Two of my neighbors had GSD's.
I hope you can post pictures of your fur-kids soon.
