Hi
Hi all. I'm Erica, owned by one male Malamute and a female mix. Orien, normally called Rien, is 19 months old (he'll be seven years and I'll still be aging him in months). CoCoa is somewhere around 9-10.
I got Rien in hopes to do conformation with him, but a testicle didn't descend. He's neutered and a couch potato/obedience prospect now. When I get out of college and get settled (YEARS away since I'm still in high school), I plan on getting another Malamute puppy and try it again. CoCoa is our rescue. She came in to the shelter I used to volunteer at (school takes up too much time now) and was 45-50% underweight and full up of porcupine quills. We also raised a black lab puppy for Leader Dogs for the Blind. She's off somewhere working now, but we miss her like crazy. I can't wait to raise puppies for them or some other organization again... it really was a blast. I love labs, but I could never keep them after they pass that super cute puppy phase (that also happens to include peeing on the furnature, torturing the cat, etc, etc). Some very recent pictures of Rien (taken about 2 weeks ago): ![]() ![]() Some of CoCoa, from this summer when we had grass on the ground: ![]() ![]() And one of Abby, in the car on the ride to Detroit, I believe: ![]() |
