Hi from South Florida :)
Hi,
I'm Tara, owned by a red dobie and my daughter's owned by a mini chihuahua!

We own a few dog businesses
help with local humane society and well we've gone to the dogs

yes I know a chi is a chi but my 11 yr old loves to specify since it's her chi and weighs in at 4 lbs

LOL Fair enough. At least you know. There are so many people who don't. Puppymills and bybs have done so much damage with their 'teacup', 'mini', 'tiny toy' and 'pocketbook' size labels on Chis. Whoops, sorry...I'm going off topic. Forgive me, I do that sometimes. LOL

Anyhoo, Chico is adorable! I love the black and tans. and WoW JD is a stunning dog too.

4lbs is in the weight range of a Chi, so it's definitely not a mini, as already stated there's no such things as that anyway.#

Lovely photo's of your dogs, but I hate daft words such as mini and teacup when there's no such thing in the breed.

Yes I"m aware there is no such thing as a toy, mini, teacup, etc....
I've been around dogs for 30+ yrs
my DD likes to refer to hers as mini because most in this area are 10lbs+
so much for feeling welcome, I got a few offlist emails as well about this...
and reality is this... like I said I've been w/dogs for 30+ yrs
own multiple dog related businesses and if my 11 yr old wants to call her chi mini because he's 1/2 or 1/3 the size of most here then so be it.

Just curious, since like I said I got a few not so nice emails for calling my dd's chi a mini and someone posted saying there is no such thing as mini, teacup, etc.etc...
which I'm well aware of, it's no different than calling one a "toy" which there's even a thread on this forum about, so why the need to ride me for my DD calling hers a mini???
