Hi folks, my name is Brian, and I was referred here by the Quincy Dogg. My puppie companion is Reily and he's an Aussi, adorable dog, hates water, and can eat a pig ear chew in under 5 min. flat. The only bones he gets are the huge beef marrow bones from the butcher, because anything else he might choke on.
I have recently lost a dog due to a nasty cancer that developed, and I hope that by being here, I might have the upper hand in keeping my dog happy and healthy. See you all around Hydrok |

Hi, Brian ~
What a coincidence! My parents have the blind Aussie I rescued from the shelter just before he was on his way to being put down (they've got a big, safe fenced yard). He was born without fully formed eyes, and I named him O'Reilly, after Radar O'Reilly because, being blind, he had to use radar to get around. He's amazing, and has had a long, wonderful life so far. He's getting old and slowing down, now, but I just count every day of life he's had as a gift. The Aussies are truly amazing creatures. |

Welcome. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It's very hard.
I had a problem with a pig's ear and thought I'd lose a dog on account of it. So, I've stopped using anything like that....that they can chew up. They can cause blockages, scratch up the intestines, cause bleeding and other problems. Can't wait to hear about your dog. Hates water.....hmmm, that sounds familiar. My Dobe finally got in up to his mid leg yesterday. LOL. Any further and he's sure he'll die. Carrie |
