I'm sorry but what cross is a Shorkie? Yorkie/Shitzu???? Thankfully I don't think we have it here as in the UK not to many people purposely cross breed except for the unfortunate Poodle/Labrador crosses.

Welcome! Toby is adorable.
Looks like he got mostly the Yorkie side of things. ![]() I agree with LilacDragon, as well. On the internet, if you run the forum, you make the rules. You can be as fair or unfair, picky or permissive as YOU choose, and anyone who doesn't like it can find another forum. As Punky said, there are no good "Shorkie" breeders, and I personally would feel like I was encouraging and enabling their irresponsibility if I allowed them to advertise on my forum. So it's something I would never dream of doing. I'd go nazi and not even let people use names like "Shorkie" if it were me, though. lol Either way, welcome to you and Toby, and thanks so much for sharing his picture! He's really cute. ![]() |

brents buddy
Hi, I am the knew owner of a Shorkie. (Not because he is a designer dog because he literally ran up my sons leg so he could lick his whole face and we all fell in love him instantly)
We've only had him since Friday night and already we could not imagine not having him. How long have you had Toby? I don't know anything about Shorkies, I have had a Shihtzu with only 3 legs that we rescued about 3 years ago and he is the best dog ever. (Although a little yappy sometimes.) What is Tobys personality like? |

The important thing to remember is that because shih tzu/yorkies are a mix not a pure breed, the temperament of each individual dog (even each pup in a litter) will likely be very different depending on the mix of genes each pup received from the parents. So basically, the temperament of your shih tzu/yorkie will be different from everyone else's.
