Yorkshire Terrier is the default name for new members. I see you changed it, which is cool, but it wasnt your fault that it came up like that, thats what stays untill you either change it or post a ton.

Welcome Melissa, Deebo (if you got your name from the movie Friday, very cool... love that movie!), and Banny!!!
Hope you enjoy the site. I'm partial to giant breeds, so I can't wait to hear more about your guys and maybe see some pictures!!! I currently share my home with Peanut, Saint Bernard, and Jake, mutant Springer Spaniel (26" tall at shoulder, 90 lbs!), and my boyfriend. ![]() Again, welcome! |

Hi, Melissa,
Glad to meet you and your "little ones." People look at me strangely when I refer to Bimmer, my GSD/wolf mix, as "the little dog." There's nothing like a giant lap dog, is there? Are you familiar with www.greatdanelady.com ? I've been completely overwhelmed with the scope of her knowledge, and it's been a great help to me, even though I have Fila Brasileiros, not Danes. |

LOL Rene
I know what u mean about people looking funny at ya when u say my little babies!!! lol, Especially when I call for my 98pd 5 1/2 mths old pup, and say Here Little Guy, they all say what are ya talking bout LITTLE!! He's bigger than a full grown lab... lol I feel so bad for him some times cuz everyone expects him to act so grown-up when he's really just a baby.
Yes I do go to the GreatDaneLady site often for info, it's a very informative site. Alot of giant breed dog issues are the same so i'm sure u can get lots of info for a variety of dogs there. I'm gonna be posting pics soon, i've been at my moms helping out with my granny and my mom as we had a Dane related accident with my mom, she tripped when walking Deebo and broke her nose, elbow and toe, so hubby will do it for me when I get home... Whenever that will be lol.... She is doing fine with a little help and we all laugh about it now, although at the time it wasn't too funny. I don't know if ya know but Danes are quite sensitive fellas and if u'd have seen Deebo when my mom fell he was just beside himself and upset like he thought he did it.. Kept hanging around her and hanging his big face down like a sadsacks... What a guy!! Well thanx for the response and hope to talk with ya again soon.... |
