new here

Hi, we are new to this forum.
i am the proud owner of a 1yr old Australian shepherd, Ace, and a pregnant rescue mini aussie we just brought into our family a few weeks ago, dutchess . I love dogs, mostly australian shepherds and have future plans in starting an australian shepherd rescue in eastern texas where my fiance and i own 18 acres of land. i and engaged to a wonderful man in the military who is getting medically retired due to injuries he recieved on his last tour to iraq. we have 5 beautiful 2 legged children, a 7 yr old, 6 yr old, 4 yr old and 2 yr old twins. and to top it all off we have two kittens we got from a friend who does rescue last week. hope to talk to ya all !!!!

Who's the dog in your avatar? He/she is absolutely gorgeous!

I've got two dogs, Harley is a 12 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier x Maltese, and Abby is nearly 8 years old and she's a Chihuahua. It sounds like you have a big household to look after!

I hope you enjoy being a member here!

You sound like one busy person already, and I think your plans for starting an Aussie Rescue are great, hope it all works out for you.

Wow your dog is gorgeous! I can't wait to see the little rescue too! Welcome! I have an aussie mix named Lucy who is in my siggie. She is a real firecracker.

You have to wait until you have at least 30 posts to add a signature.

I have quite the motley crew, and I foster for a local rescue.

Too bad you didn't live closer, we've got three aussie pups up for adoption!

i don't think we can handle anymore right now!

our vet told us that dutchess is pregnant when we took her in. the people who were going to take her to the pound if she wasnt gone by that evening said she was spayed.

so to have new pups in the house will definantly be a handful and if we do get another aussie it will not be until her pups are all spayed/neutered, adopted out and she is spayed.

Hello and welcome!! I don't know how you do it all.

Good luck with your move to TX (if your not already there) and getting into rescue. It's a very difficult, heartbreaking but very rewarding experience.
