Well Hai Thar!
Hey there! I think I recognize a couple of you out there (Heather!)

For everyone else who doesn't know me, my name is Rachel, and I am the proud owner of three amazing ex-racers...




...and a fuzzy little blind NSDTR named Julio!




Photography is a real passion of mine, particularly action shots of racing greyhounds. Here are a couple of my most recent addition, Ford (aka Okie Ford).

Hi Rachel, welcome to Global Paw! Your dogs are amazingly gorgeous!! I'm a big fan of greyhounds, and I hope to own an ex-racer some day. Like you, I'm also really into photography. What kind of camera (and lens) do you use?

Thanks guys!

Swiftwind,i use a Nikon D200 and a Nikon D50. The three Nikkor lenses I use are an 18-55mm, 50mm 1.8, and a 70-300 G. Admittedly I haven't been doing as much photography lately as I used to.

I think your dogs are just beautiful! How do you manage to give them the exercise they need each day? Just curious, since I've heard they arn't too trust worthy off lead.

Exercise with a retired greyhound is really no big deal at all. They're so low maintenance! Backyard romps aren't always enough, but a structured walk around the block once or twice a day is really all they need. My Toller is the same way now that he's older and spends most time sleeping. He had boundless energy as a pup which we channeled through agility training.
