Me & My NGSD
Hello,

Just spotted this forum while doing a google on the New Guinea Singing Dog. I live with one and it has putting it mildly been an adventure. Looking to chat with other NGSD owners or fanciers if there are any here.

Welcome to the site! I don't know of anyone on here who owns a NGSD, but I'm sure that won't stop people from ahhhing over yours. Our local zoo rescued two of them and when I participated in a camp there I was able to meet them. They were really sweet and friendly.

Thanks for the welcome. Just based upon your location, my guess would be Kodi & Katia at Columbia Park Zoo in Battle Ground? Wolf Park held them for a while also.

There are not too many Singers in Indiana that I know of.

That is my NGSD "Rusty" who was trying to commuicate with a passing fire engines siren.

Sets him off every time.

Well, that is one thing my dogs have in common with NGSDs then....every time they hear a sieren they must stop what they are doing and break out into a group howl. Chloe just now figured out how to do it, but her previous attempts were just pitiful.

I have barely heard of them, and never met anyone in person or on forums who had one! Would LOVE to see tons more pictures (And if you have any videos of how they got their name ) would love to see those too!

I have heard of New Guinea Singing Dogs. I read about them the on National Geographic. I would love to see some pictures.
