New Dog Owner (almost)
I just happened to stumble on this site last night and I'm very impressed. I can see myself spending countless hours here. My husband and I are (not so patiently) waiting to bring home our first dog. In the middle of August we are adding an 8 week old yellow lab to the family. I never thought that I would get so excited over things like looking at crates and small, plastic, overpriced toys. I'm sure this whole thing is an experience that I will never forget. I feel like an overprotective mom already

Welcome. It's nice to know that the dog crazy club has claimed another victim. Dogs do strange, but wonderful things to human behaviour.

Welcome! I know how you feel! When I was preparing for my dachshund to come home I went to persmart every week and couldn't make it out of there with out spending $80.00 each time! Crate, baby gates, puppy play pen, chew toys galore! It was so fun to pick everything out and our liitle doxie is S-P-O-I-L-E-D!!!

Welcome to the forum! I absolutely hate reserving a pup and waiting for him to be old enough to take home... That's what I did with Ripley and I was imaptient and nervous (not to mention obsessive... dog stuff galore..) for 3 weeks.
