Finally: I'm a dog owner!
Hello all!!!

I have wanted a puppy all my life, and now, I finally got one

Her name is Angel and she's barely 3 months...she's a japanese chin/papillon mix...very adorable and quiet puppy...

About myself... I am a 21 year old Behavioural Neuroscience Major. I live in Montreal with my brother and mother. My mother has been afraid of dogs all her life, and on father's day she finally decided that it was ok to get a dog, as it was something my father (who passed away 5 yrs ago) always wanted (hence the name Angel)....

I have been reading alot and talking to many specialists and dog owners about housebreaking, nutrition and so on...and this is why I'm here, because I want to learn as much as possible about what my dog needs. I need your help, and before writing more, I want to make sure if this is the right place for me, I mean to ask these types of questions, if not let me know

You might have better results with puppy questions under "General Concerns" in the "Puppy Forum". No doubt you'll have any questions answered there.

I must admit this forum is a little overwhelming...I was reading about the reputable and points feature, I think it's great...but a little complicated, I guess I'll get use to it

Thank you for the warm welcome, I feel comfortable here already...

I really want to post pics, but we are getting a camera next week, as the ones we have at home are broken

I have a webcam, but the problem is that the pics come out looking really bad...she's a black puppy, with gray paws and a white streak running across her stomach...so the webcam doesnt capture her at all...all we see is this black shadow...

So far, most of the family (aunts, cousins) have visited her, and everyone is now going to get themselves a puppy by the end of the summer, because ours is just so adorable...

but then again, who doesn't find their puppy/dog adorable!!! (they all are)

Anyways, I'll make my way to the puppy forum as I already have MANY questions...
