Reintroduction

Hello everyone-

I have been gone for some time so thought I would do a little reintroduction and touch on what's new here.

I have 4 Boxers, Blaze(fawn), Cajun(fawn), Velvet(reverse brindle), Scarlett (flashy brindle). I believe this line up has changed since I was here last. In March we lost our beloved Mystique to cardiomyopathy. This is one reason I have been kept away, I have spent many long hours researching, talking, and educating anyone who will sit still long enough on the importance of health testing. Now on to the good news.

My girl Cajun received the results of her Holter results a few weeks ago and did very well with only 1VPC and currently clear of disease.

My first show prospect is Scarlett, she just turned 6 months and is a joy to work with. She is being trained for the ring without the use of bait and is doing extremely well. She is making her debut at the show in Raleigh, NC on Labor Day weekend. I have been told I am completely crazy but for her first time out she will be owner handled by myself. She will however be going with a handler for future shows.

Thats about it for now. Can't wait to get back to the swing of things, I have really missed the people here as ya'll are all great.

Welcome back, and you are NOT crazy to owner handle. I know tha Boxers can be fiercely competitive, but she's your dog, if you want to owner/handle, youe do it! I do! and I love it. My boy has been owner handled from his first show, which was 6 months ago and the first time in the ring EVER for the both of us and all we need is our final major. You can do it!!
