New pup!

Hi everyone! I recently received my first puppy. He is a maltese...I think he is part bichon because he is a bit larger than the usual. His name is Cruiser and he is the cutest thing ever! I am his third home. He is 7 months old...nearly eight months. I received him after he got his cast off his foot...he broke his paw when he was with his previous owner. But he is doing great now!

I am still trying to figure out some traning techniques...like kennel training, potty training, controlling the barking, etc. But so far so good. My boyfriend and Cruiser bump heads all the time. I definately think he is a little momma's boy!!

I hope that the attached picture comes out. We took him to a friends house to go swimming and I was amazed! He was jumping into the water and swimming all around! It was the funniest thing! However, he got into the mud after! He was acting just like a little boy! Funniest thing ever!

Welcome and congrats on the pup. It sounds like he has found a great home. There is a lot of info here for all the things you mentioned just search the threads and if you cannot find an answer post and I bet you will get one.

I bet you b/f is just a little jealous. Some dogs just love water and take to it like a fish. I have a hard time keeping 2 out of 3 out of the water. Best of luck to you

Welcome. Sounds like your making a great mommy. Lets hope your bf bonds with Cruiser. You may be right that he's a momma's boy. I've noticed my girl dogums are always daddy's girls. hmmmm.
