Hello
An introduction is always a good start. I'm retired Canadian miltary (23yrs service) who now works as a technician at a veterinary hospital/clinc for the past five years. I have four saved dogs and three saved cats. The names of the dogs are Franny (a sheltie, 14yrs old), Nikita (a Hienz 57, 8 yrs old), Balto (black lab, 4yrs old) and of course, the love of my life, Daisy (part black lab, mostly crazy, 5yrs old). To say that my household is on the brink of chaos is an understatement but I love it!
My background with dogs is exstensive. My father was the supervisor of the K-9 unit for a police department so at age 15 he qualified me as a master dog handler. Since then I have trained dogs for a vast array of things from detection to basic obedience. Now I help our canine friends to be good citizens. I have also trained Daisy and Balto in search and rescue ( Daisy has found two lost children to date and I am so proud of her accomplishment ).
