Hello.
Hello.
My family just got our first dog, we called him Sam. He's a Shepherd/Great Pyranese cross. He was abandoned and we picked him up a week ago. He seems like he's had some obedience training as he will sit, stay, heel and walk on the leash quite well. He does real well with the kids (we have four) and I'm really not sure why anyone would not want him. We were told he's two years old and we're taking him to the vet on friday for a once over. He's a pretty good size, I weighed him and he's 80lb but he looks as though he's a little under nourished. Anway, that's a little about us and Sam and I'm happy to be here. I have a ton of questions and I intend to start posting. I'm looking forward to you input and hopefully I will have something to offer. Regards. Tag. |

Welcome
congrats on the rescue. Great Pyrenees's area amazing dogs. Very large. I fostered one once in an apartment that didnt allow dogs, and my land lord never found out....had he allowed dogs I would have kept her for good. |

Welcome! Don't let that Papillon of Rip's girl fool ya! I'm gonna start calling her Jaws for short.
I think you'll like this forum. And I can't wait to hear more about this nice sounding dog you rescued. What a great thing to do! Carrie |

Wow, thanks for the welcome.
As for the name, my yougest son wanted to name him Sam Fisher after a guy on an X-box game and a Tom Clancy novel (go figure... The Nintendo generation ) so we settled for just Sam.Thanks again. Tag. |
