new to site

Hi I am new to this site and I have a mini longhaired doxie. She is great and soooo loving. I have a couple of questions though. first...she licks like CRAZY (we timed it once and she like my bf's leg for almost an hour and a half-nonstop) lol I dont know what it is, sometimes it gets annoying but she is just being loving, any ideas how to get her to not do it as much at least!? second...any tips on how to make her stop barking at the tv when a dog barks on tv? sometimes she gets so frantic because I think she thinks that a dog is comming into "her house". any help would be great! Thanks soo much and hope to talk to anyone soon!

Welcome to Global Paw!

We have some great trainers here to help you. As far as the licking is concerned, I would stop her from licking as soon as she starts and then distract her with something else. It sounds almost OCD from the way you describe.

thanks. i will definately do that. I also wanted to ask...she knows to go potty outside, but if its raining or there is another dog within site, she loses her train of thought and just wont go ( no matter how long i'm out there) and that is when i get accidents in the house and of course they are never on the kitchen floor..just on my rugs! any suggestions there as well? thanks so much.
