New from SC
Hi! I just found this forum and thought I'd introduce myself...

My name is Heather...my husband and I are owned by 12 retired racing greyhounds. We are active with our local greyhound adoption group - Greyhound Crossroads.

I own a small all-breed dog boarding kennel, so I'm interested in all breeds - though I tend to board a LOT of greyhounds! I donate several kennel slots to our group for dogs coming off the track that we don't have foster home space for yet. And we currently have a great dane mix pup that we are trying to find a home for

And I'm the husband! My name is Ken and I run the technology department for my company. As Heather said, we have 12 wonderful greyhounds, and I cannot imagine life without them!!! Heck, I can't even remember what it's like to sleep in a bed that doesn't have at least 2 or 3 hounds on it!

Welcome to GP. Sounds like you both have very busy lives. I am still trying to adjust to sleeping with two little Yorkies, and I just can't imagine how anyone can possibly sleep with a greyhound much less two or three. I bet your bags are large and dark. LOL! Mine are packed a little more every night.

Welcome, and I just wanted to say, with regards to finding homes for the displaced doggies- keep up the good work!

Sounds like your house must be quite a hoot. Can't wait to see pictures of the whole gang.

My husband has just recently accepted that we will almost always have some animals in the house that are "just visiting" until they find their forever homes. It turns out he really is a pushover, and I just didn't realize that until lately.
