Hello im Shannon im new which is obviouse due to my title lol. I own 5 dogs with my husband and children they are all German Pointers. Four of which are German Shorthaired Pointers and one is an German Longhaired Pointer so yes. We do breed them though it is rare and carefully done we also show and do hunting trials with our dogs. My dogs names are Mars ( Carlitoes Bats N Butterflies) a black and white short haired male, Roo ( Carlitoes Fancy Kick) a Liver and white long haired male, Bliss ( Carlitoes Beautiful Romance) a female Liver and white short haired female, Ditz (Carlitoes Show Stopping Smile) a Liver and white short haired female, and finally Denim (Carlitoes Starry Starry Night) a black and white short haired female.

I am very dedicated to my dogs lol sometimes my husband jokes that I pay more attention to the dogs then i do the kids. But thats not true lol they kids are involved in alot of the dogs activities and vice versa. My dogs are not pampered but I would say they are a bit spoiled but they are not tenderfoots.

Good to be here I hope to make some friends and just talk dogs.

Welcome to GlobalPaw. I grew up with German shorthairs my whole life. My dad helped us train and hunt with them. They are a beautiful breed and I still get chills when I see that slow stalk and perfect point.
