Here is mine. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It took me a few hours and lots of erasing and I still couldn't quite figure out the different angles of the glass. I did this at work and everyone kept laughing at me, staring into an empty glass and cussing my head off. I had to find a picture of fruit because I didn't have any with me. LOL

Nicely done, Barrett. I love that you tried different angles.
I particularly like your half apple and the last glass. Very well done. ![]() Cass. |

I finally figured out the distance between the bottom of the glass and the top looks shorter when you are looking almost straight down. That last glass took the longest and got the most cussing from me.

Nice job, Barrett.
I didn't cuss at mine, but I imagine I will as the lessons progress. ![]() |

Thanks Paws, I like the way you drew the shapes of your items too. I used that to see the shapes first and then I erased the middle to see the outside. Does that make sense? Anyway, it helped me to figure it all out.

When I was first learning to draw we did a whole week on perspective and it took me that long to understand what the heck the teacher was on about. LOL THEN he made us do this MASSIVE perspective drawing (like 3feet x 2feet). OMG...I swear I nearly died when I found out. LOL BTW...I know I said it before...but really...that glass is SUPER! Great example of drawing what you see and not what you know. Cass. |

dog sketch
I'm making my own lesson harder because I have done the others before. I'm trying to draw my dog from life and it is hard for me. Practise, practise, practise.

shading
Barrett, instead of drawing the apple with the skin filled in completely, use shading and only fill in the darkest shadows on the apple, then more lightly, fill in the lighter shadows with a very light pencil. Leave the light reflections blank paper. It will look 3D.
