Advice & Questions thread

Hi everyone!

We've created this thread as a place for you to ask for advice on your artwork if you're a little stuck or just can't figure out what's wrong and for any quick questions you have about art or art materials.
Basically, anything that doesn't need it's own thread.*

Although Linnie & I will keep an eye on this thread and answer everything we possibly can, as accurately and honestly as we can, all members are welcome to give advice to those who seek it.

*Don't be afraid to start a thread for your question if you think that would be best. We didn't create this to stop that, but simply to provide a place for people who may not feel they need to start a whole new thread for a simple question.

for all aspiring students in class and not in a class.
first rule of art: this is a subjective topic. meaning; just because one person likes it and two people don't that does not mean that you are a bad artist.

second rule:everyone has thier own style, try a different style if you think it would be fun, if you are not a vangough don't worry about it.

third rule and most important: have fun.

these were the words my art teacher told everyone at the begining of school so many years ago.

Can we post dog stories in the art section aswell?

Sure.

Creative writing is a form of art. I see no problem with that. I look forward to reading your work if you decide to post some.
