Cat painting

I'm working on a watercolour of Millie, my uncle and aunt's cat. I'm doing it from a sketch and a few photos I have of her.

This is the first sketch, done from life (thank heavens she was asleep, lol

):

This is the second sketch, done in india ink pen and based on the first:

And this is the watercolour, based on the two sketches and some photos:

As you can see, it's not finished by a long stretch. What do you think?

Those look great! I would love to be able to paint pictures as well as I can sketch them. I'm much better at sketching and drawing images, or coming up with things out of my head.

it is coming along beautifully.
Just make sure you have the face really relaxed onto the chair, love the slouch of the rear end looks just real
