My dad, the artist. [Cariboo Trail Studio]

Well, i realized, i keep telling people about my dad, yet ive never shown anyone his artwork! So, here is some of his artwork. He obviously does Western-ish artwork, but he is good with dogs, too.
All of these pictures belong to Don Nutt of Cariboo Trail Studio, so no stealing!

Also, he has illustrated books for Corinne (my boss). Those books have a dog in it, although its a cartoon dog.

He is wonderfully talented. I love Western art... Ever been to the cowboy hall of fame in Oklahoma? They have amazing art work there. Just thinking about it now I want to go again.

My mother has talent in drawing and painting.. and I think she passed it all to my sister. My grandfather was also a celebrated painter, as was my great grandmother... we still have some of her oil paintings and there are a few old books that contain her work.
I had a hard time as I was growing up because everyone (especially teachers) expected me to be equally talented... but I'm not. I didn't want to disappoint anyone but I simply can't see things the way she does. Wouldn't you know I married a man that also paints and draws... LOL!
I've found that I am talented in other ways... Like I enjoy sewing and stained glass and embroidery. I call it textile art...
Just thought I would share with you as I was always so proud of my mother and my family history but always found it hard to live up to some peoples expectations.
You did so well with the avatar and sig creations though, you definitely have talent... it just may not be with ink and paper. Just be happy with your talent... and don't worry about anyone else.

Your dad is really talented, thanks for sharing some of his work with us!

Both my mum and dad paint and draw extremely well... they both went to art school together.

Very beautiful artwork! I especially love the ones with horses (The bucking horse was very cool!).

I am horrible at drawing! I prefer photography! I love how theres so many different forms of art!

your dad rocks!!! his work is amazing. I dabble with oil pastels and paints and charcoal drawings, but I'm not nearly that good!!! I actually haven't done anything in a while. My grandpa didn't start painting until he was 70, and he's AWESOME!! He does mostly landscapes, but its cool because one day he just was watching Bob Ross on TV, and said...I can do that. and he did.
