art in pastel anyone??

I was wondering if perhaps we could have another art session this time with pastels????
Anyone interested??
I can show how to draw your dog using a ruler to get accuracy in the sketch then show how easy it is to do eyes and the nose etc
It would be a really easy class
I have such fun with pastels and although I am new to the medium I would love to share my limited knowledge.
All you need is a sheet of pastel paper ( 80 cents )
and a cheap set of pastel pencils ( 12.00) they have to be soft pastel and not oils thats the only thing

I thought we could start next week mid week, just let me know

You will also have to have a picture of your dogs face made big like to an a4 paper size.
Or if you would prefer we could all do the same dog
anyhow will wait and see if we have any response lol

That sounds cool!! I'd be up for it. I have 'artists drawing pastels' (in earth tones only... aka brown!). Do you think they'll do? I'm not sure that I'd have time to go out and buy more.

I'd love to do it as well, but I wouldn't be able to get the stuff for a few more weeks.

Oh, and my printer is broken, so I wouldn't be able to get an A4 size pic of my dog/s. But if it's just for reference, I can just open a pic up on my computer. I seem to do all my art projects at my desk anyway. haha

There is an artist in everyone briarlow you just have to dig around a little
Swiftwind I find you need pinks and blues as well as dark brown and an ochre colour but you could try doing one in varying shades of earth colours.
How about we make it to start next saturday. That way BB you can get a pic and get it photocopied
Oh one other thing... you need a ruler lol

Ok, pastel pencils, no biggie, one set should do. But I think I might get a few sheets of the paper, no doubt I'll totally mess up the first few.

My daughter said the same thing......but I cant draw mum.... and she is doing beautiful work.
I am all enthused. tomorrow I shall post the picture of Buster that I am going to do and also show you how to set up your paper
