My First Attempt
Well I did warn you that I wasn't very good at drawing, but after the pastel teach-in I decided to have a try but more at doodling, couldn't get to the dizzy heights of a full-scale drawing. This only took me just over an hour and it's better than I expected. A bit childlike but it's OK

They're not! They're good.
I particularly like Carina and Dilita. Keep going, keep sketching. Try using the pastel in different ways, experiment with it. You should also try sketching individual parts of your dogs (or anything else you wish to draw). Even just sketching the general shape of the dogs in a pose helps. Have you drawn with any other media before? Pencil sketching can be a little easier than using pastels. And on a different note...when are we going to see a picture thread of your dogs? Hehehehe!Cass. |

Sorry not been on for a while, will definitely have to start putting photo's on of the guys. Dilita was my first Spanish Water Dog and passed away nearly 4 years ago, Carina is her grand-daughter. Though Dilita's daughter is still with me Lydia and she's 14!! I just can't believe how quickly time flies.
Nope don't have any other drawings as I always thought that I was rubbish at it and that I couldn't even rule a straight line with a ruler!! |
