Thank you so much!
I have a drawing tablet (it allows me to draw using a 'pen') and I use a graphics program called Corel Painter Essentials 3. Firstly, I draw the outline of the dog (usually a rough outline, then I go over it again and clean it up), then I use layers and set the drawing up so I can colour it without going outside the outline. Then I use lots of different techniques for the fur... I usually start with a dark colour underneath and work my way to the lighter colours. I do the eyes and nose on a separate layer so that I can do them early on, and not worry about them getting drawn over when colouring. Hope that all makes sense! ![]() |

Makes sense... wow.. I can only imagine what that hardware and software must have cost, but what you're producing is beautiful! It looks like you're ready to start offering graphic services to websites and companies. I am very impressed. Somehow I got passed over when the artsy genes were passed out. Everyone else in my family and even extended family has talent oozing out their pores... oh well!

The tablet was pretty pricey (about $700 Aus), but I was very lucky and got it as a gift from my mum and step-dad as a 21st present. The graphics program came with the tablet, but I actually found the next version up in the shop yesterday and it was going for about $400!! I was shocked. My mum, dad and sister are very, very artistic, and about one other cousin is as well.. but that's pretty much it in my family.
