Pictures (Finally) - What breed is he?
Okay, I've been here for months now and haven't posted any pics, so now that I finally have a decent digital camera, I've taken some pics. I tried to get front and side pics, but Jake wasn't that excited about having his picture taken.
He's currently 4-1/2 months old and weighs 21 and a smidge pounds. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The first thing I thought was a Min Pin mix, but it is too blocky. So unless it has some other breed that is a bit blocky (I was thinking Lab, but then dont' all mixed breed dogs have lab in them? lol) then I'd lean more toward Manchester mix.

Do you have a lot of Manchester Terrier's in the US?? Only asking as I live in THE MANCHESTER in the UK and I've only ever seen one Manchester Terrier and that was at a dog show. They are totally rare over here.
Only asking as quite a few on here have them or have their mixes and it seems really strange for such a rare breed. |

I would agree with all of the suggestions, but according to the dogbreedinfo site, all of the breeds suggested (except for Lab and GSD) are much smaller normally than Jake is. Since he's only about 6 months old now (I think - I'm horrible with remembering ages lol, especially with my own children), he'd have to be a giant version of any of those breeds.
This is all so perplexing! ![]() |

I am having trouble agreeing with the idea that he'd be part Manchester just because they aren't a very common breed. I've only ever seen ONE and that was at a dog show.
I just think he looks some type of Terrier (maybe a larger JRT) and something else. |

I don't know why but when I first saw him I thought Dobe x Staffy. I can see where Min Pin might be a possibility though.
I'm not too sure about Manchester Terrier however...only because of the availability factor. Although it is of course possible. Cass. |
