Miscellaneous Class/Mutts/Cross Breeds/Other Dogs in the Miscellaneous Class are working toward full AKC recognition. These dogs can compete in some AKC events and earn selected titles.

Talking Does anyone own an Alaskan Klee Kai?
I think the Klee Kai is sooo cute. I would like to have one of my own someday but they are quite expensive. If anyone here has one, could you please post some pictures or stories?

I don't have one however when I was showing in the UKC we showed with them quite often. They are very cute but remember they are a nordic breed.

I don't have one either (I don't think there are any here in Australia just now), but we have a member here called Kymcole who shows and breeds them. You could try PMing her for info and if you do a search for her you'll find she has posted quite a few pictures on here too.

As Cass said, Kymcole owns some Klee Kais. Kymcole is the only person i know of on GP that owns any, but of course i only know the active people. I would like to get one someday, too, but only when im older.

I dont have them but I do own their cousin, the Siberian Husky...In all honesty I'm not much a fan of them...to me they are just a deseigner breed that was lucky enough to have someone focus energy into having more than just F1 generations and got them to breed true and thus was able to get them recognized...I mean they were created in the 70s with no more purpose than to be cute lap dogs, or ""mini huskies""

I wasnt asking for a debate I just gave my personal opinion on them which is what a forum is all about last I checked I wonder what all the ""Doodle"" breeders think when they see that if they can manage to make their mix a true breed, even though it still has no purpose, that some people will accept them suddenly...

I have to agree with OC. The OP was asking for pics and stories... and in my opinion, that means asking for other people's opinions, which is exactly what OC did. They don't have AKC recognition... so breed status is probably still questionable in many people's eyes...

I do not own one. Alaskan Klee Kai's are quite adorable.
