I'd want to see proof that it actually worked, before I shelled out cash for that test. Even if it did work, they only have a limited number of breeds they can identify, so if he is a rare breed or has a rare breed (or more than one) in him you're unlikely to get accurate results.

Cass.

Wow, he looks like a completely different dog! So, have you decided to keep him? Does he have a name?

I do believe the DNA tests work (Dogfancy did an article on them), and they are around 80$ a test and it takes a month to get your results. By the end of this year they are going to have over 100 breeds that they can identify, and I'm seriously thinking about doing it for Blackie. It would be nice to know if he was is indeed a purebred Lab or if he has something else in him!

Swift We named him Jake. One day he was gone all afternoon. Another time he was gone over night. But he always came right back. Now he has been gone sine Sunday and since today is Friday I doubt he'll be back. It breaks my heart to think he has probably went back to his old home. But if that is what he wants than that is probably the right thing. I'm sad though. I thought for sure that he was here to stay. We so wanted to give him a good home. I think if we had spayed him he would have stayed....maybe. He was such a pretty!

Why didn't you keep the poor little guy contained? Was he just wondering the neighborhood free?
