So glad to hear he is doing better! How scary to deal with!

The pup looks JUST like a sharpei, and I don't see really any trace of pug in her. Personally, I think the family was gyped and they just have a smaller sized Sharpei (possibly the runt). They are cute little dogs though

Well...my SO and I generally rescue German shepherds out of the pounds here
where we live. In the past year I figure we've helped about 40 escape certain death. So ....admittedly I'm a fan of GSD's, but I had always wanted a bulldog or a dog that looked like a bulldog....kinda smushed faced and wrinkly...Well Petsmart was having adoption days....and there he was "Doc" that is. Anyway....did a little research and we think he may be an Ori Pei........I don't think he's a pei runt, or a pug runt ...He has characteristics of both breeds as odd as that may sound....you can see both just by looking at him.

I will try to post pics so you can see.....

regardless tho....he is a cute and sweet little fellow, and its interesting the reactions I get when I take him to the pet store. Most folks upon seeing him mimic his droopy sad expression when approaching him.

2 weeks today , and no seizures....Doc seems to be back to his normal crazy self....and it's been so good to see!

Updates and pics soon...

Funny how dogs have people trained so well. LOL. And people think the dogs are the dumber ones, who's walking around making faces at the dogs, US!

I even admit to doing it. LOL...

Update on Doc

A month today with no seizures! yay.!!!

dogzrmylife.... I'm not sure if he is a "designer breed" or not..I would say probably yes... I've not seen the "American hybrid association" list but I will google it asap. Please be assured that is not why I chose him however. My SO and I only adopt rescues, and I'm greatful to the links and stories I've found on this board.

poodlesmom..you are right about the side effects.....Once Doc was past his "drug loading" stage....and after the first night he seems to be back to his old self. I think it might have been the valium the vet had him on?
Trying to figure how to post pictures of Doc here..., and I guess I need probably need some help.....I know there are many of you kind souls out there ...so lend me a hand or a paw?

Hugs

Paula

Wow that's GREAT!!! I'm glad Doc is doing that well!! I hope he has many seizure-free months and years after this! Give him a big kiss on his cute face for me! I can't wait until you can put up pics!

I would help with the pic problem, but I am FAAAAR from useful when it comes to explaining things. I end up confusing people worse than they were before I even tried to help.

Oh my gosh, I have no clue how I missed this thread but I'm soooo glad that things are going well and have become stable again!

I'd be happy to help you with the pics....do you have them on a web site or hosted somewhere already?

Sourmug Mom

I'm hosted on photobucket....I tried the Icons in the "reply thread" and got some really weird "cut and paste links".....so I'm a little lost. If you could help me put it together would be great!

Thanks in advance!

On photobucket the easiest way without going into the links is to click on your pic so that it's the only one showing on the screen then right click your mouse, you'll see a box that comes up with info on your screen, go to the very bottom of that box and click "Properties," another box will appear and you'll need to highlight and copy the address shown on "Properties."

Now that you've copied the address for your picture come back into your new post here on Global Paw and click on the box above the area your typing in that looks like a small postcard with a mountain and sun ( it's yellow in color,) you;ll then see another little box that will appear on the left side of your screen that says "script prompt - enter the text to be formatted."

On the space in that box where text can be entered, right click your mouse again and click on "paste," the box should now be filled with the address of your picture from Photobucket. Click the OK on that box and it should now have added the proper script directly into your new post.

Should look something like this:

You've now added your picture to the post and can continue to add text or even another picture if you'd like. If you have any problems with it or are unfamiliar with copy and paste just give me a yell.
