Dog on National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

In the movie, Cousin Eddie "played by Randy Quaid" has a dog that he said was "part ??? and part tennessee leg hound" ..... can anybody tell me what the dog's name and other breed was?

The dogs name was snots
Randy Quaid said this, "He's cute ain't he? Only problem is, he's got a little bit a Mississippi leg hound in 'im. If the mood catches him right, he'll grab your leg and just go to town. You don't want him around if your wearing short pants, if you know what I mean. Word of warning though, if he does lay into ya, it's best to just let 'im finish."

I knew it was something like that, but I couldn't remember ... I thought he said something about the other part of the breed too ... I was thinking it was part rottie...
