anyone want to take a guess?

At what Gabby is? She is about 70 pounds and 25 inches tall. I have never heard her bark even when the other three are barking their heads off. She just makes strange whining noises and she does howl if a siren drives past. She is very sweet.
This is how she sleeps

This is the best picture I have of her tail its kind of wirey feeling.

dog breeds really aren't my thing. Whatever though she is a great looking dog. Great expression and nicely put together. I especially like pic #4 where she looks poised for action.

I'm not too good with breed guessing either but I'd say she's definitely got some lab in her.

My grandparents had labs when I was a kid and I never heard them bark but they would make all sorts of weird noises instead!!

She looks like a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix to me. Is her coat a little thicker or kinda curly? The chessy at the doggie day care I worked at had thicker/curly-ish fur and it was coarse. Not rough but it wasn't soft either.

But that's just my guess

Her fur isn't very curly at all but it is very thick. It is also pretty course. Her tail is very course and wirey.

I think she is def mixed with Chessy. Probably more than likely lab/chessy mix, which is probably why her coat doesn't have the curl to it.

Whatever she is, she's so cute!

I'd also say Labrador, definitely. I possibly think she has some kind of shepherd in her, though I'm not sure what. I am so inclined to say Kelpie, but I don't know how likely that is. Maybe you should check what breeds the Kelpie is made up of.

I agree with Icey, I was just doing some research on Chesapeake Bay retrievers, and a lot of the pics looked a lot like Gabby. They are a lot larger then labs or goldens, and this is random, but did you know that they are not actually related to goldens or labs? They are bred from Newfies and hounds ( and others I can't remember right now), just a little fun fact for you, but I think Gabby looks just like a Chessie.

I'm going to agree that Gabby is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever cross for sure, I also think that she has Lab and German Shepherd in her, but who knows. I'd say that she definitely looks like a Chessie to me....

Chessies aren't very common (at least around here), from what I've know, so while it is possible for her to be a mix of one, it isn't too terribley likely. I think I've only met/seen one Chessie before.

She really looks a lot like a cross between Rose and my friend's old dog Angel. Based on that, I'd have to say.....Lab/GSD/Husky....and then maybe with some ACD and Collie thrown in there. LOL (Rose is a Lab/ACD/GSD mix and Angel was as Collie/Lab/Husky?/Chow mix).

lol well now that I think of it i'm sure chessies are very very uncommon where my grandmother lives, the place that she lives is VERY rural and people mostly have very common breeds or mixed breeds.

Well shoot...I was going to 100% agree with Icey. She looks so much like a chessy/lab. But I definitely see lab. The ears make me think some GSD...She's so gorgeous though!

Lab/Husky? Lab/German Shepherd? She probably has a mixed breed parent or two! I also do see Chessie...the muzzle shape, and color is very chessie (Most chocolate labs I have seen are dark chocolate colored, Gabby is very reddish.

My thoughts exactly!
Scroll down until you find "Chessie".
List of saved dogs
Are you sure there's no chance she's part Chesapeake?

Found at Hopalong & Second Chance Animal Rescue - Cat and Dog Adoptions
Name: Bailey
Mix/Breed: Chocolate Lab/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix

My guess would have been Chessie/GSD and Kelpie...looking at the fur maybe even Husky.

Not that many breeds with a pinkish nose either!
