Arrow Pit Bulls Bark

I was just wondering if all pit bulls bark kinda like there strained. My dog has a deep large dog bark, but most pit bulls thaat i hear bark arent deep at all. My friends pit bull pointer mix has a loud bark but its not deep, even if he is taller than my dog. My question was if all pit bulls dont have a deep bark........their bite is worse then their bark?

My 'furneice" Sadie starts out with this sound that can only be described as 'gargling' then barks with a bark that sounds, to me at least, normal for her size/breed.
my Dane however, barks with the might of 10000 chihuahuas, lol

mushroom has a normal deep "big dog" bark. luce hardly ever barks. she screams. it's the most god-awful noise. she has barked on occasion though (usually in her sleep) and it's pretty normal sounding.

i keep meaning to get a recording of it but i don't have anything with which to record. i'll have to work on it. it needs to be portable because she only does it outside at other dogs, and not even that very often anymore.

Jackson is a pittie mix and his bark is very deep. My 15 lbs Lhasa has a really deep bark for his size where my 40lbs Shelby bark sounds more like a toy dog's bark.

yes - I "use" jackson a lot of times for his bark. It alone is enough to scare unwanted people off, but I know he is too big of a wuss to be anything more then his bark. He might knock you over cause he is a little big boned, but that is about it.

Oh gosh, I know the feeling! The pittie I used to have did this... but she'd also "chirp". You know how you roll your tounge and make that noise? Well she would yip and it sounded like she'd roll her tounge. It was pretty cute but boy when she wanted something... she'd scream LOL She only barked whenever someone came to the door, or Sarge was barking. It was one of those loooong barks first and then "woofs" Appropriate for her size though.

Thatis how my Pit is. Alot of Pits have different kinds of barks, but as unique sounding as they can be there is still something very common among them that lets you identify that is a "pit" I can almost always tell a Pit from the bark. My dog has 2 different kinds of barks. He has a high pitch yelp bark, and a medium pitch bark. He uses both kinds of barks all the time lol.

Pit or Not

Would ya'll take a look at my new baby and tell me if you think she is a Pit. Shelter didn't know but she has the marks on her head. I look at pictures online of pups, and think she is. Thanks Stephanie

She very well could have pittie in her! It's so hard to tell when they're that young.. especially any of your bully and mastiff type breeds. Although some are pretty obvious. But once she gets older it will be easier to tell!

Soooo cute though whatever she is!
