My Pug Mix "Pudgy"
Hello all. I adopted Pudgy from a local shelter and she's a 3 year old female Pug mix. I have no idea what the mix is -- any ideas? She's 30 lbs., about a foot tall, with stubby little legs and brindle in color. She loves people but is very feisty around other dogs. Let me know if you have any ideas about what kind of mix my Pudge-Meister is!

She's just beautiful!
Honestly, the brindling and black mask remind me of the Presa Canario. Probably not though, she'd have that black mask because of the Pug in her. Hmm... so I'd say probably either a Staffordshire Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier/Pitbull. Some kind of 'bully' breed, which would explain her feistyness with other dogs (bullys are dog-agressive). What ever she is she's a darling. I hope you'll post lots more pictures of her for us to see. Cass. |

Pug Mom
|
Hello & Welcome.
My mother has a pug/boxer mix that I fostered for rescue out of las vegas, that she wound up adopting several years ago. She's a dark brindle, black mask, no white. Has the boxerish face, a VERY loosely curled tail, and is only maybe an inch taller than my pugs. Yours sure is a cutie! ![]() |

Thanks for the input regarding Pudgy
Like most of you, I think that Pudgy may also have some pitbull in her or perhaps boxer or French Bulldog? She does have a pit-like aggressive nature around other dogs -- very feisty during our walks and quick to establish dominance. Once she's gotten to know other dogs, though, she usually just wants to play (but she is the BOSS!).
I thought that she might have some Boston Terrier in her but she's too big and her body is bulldog like (very big chest with a little white star in the middle and strong legs). She has a tail that's usually straight but it curls right up on her back when she's excited. I know that she's got Pug in her because of her big eyes, wrinkled brow and black face but she's definitely got an aggressive mix in there somewhere! I've put a couple more photos on my profile of my Pudge-Meister. Take a look! Other opinions on her breed mix are always welcome. Thanks! |

OMG!! How cute!!!
![]() One of my Pugs is most likely a "Jug", or at least she's not 100% Pug. Her name is Ava. I agree with the Pug/Staffie cross. |
