I agree. A mixed breed dog may or may not shed, thus, not the best for families with allergies,
unless it is a full grown dog and has already proven that it "doesn't" shed. And some people are allergic to dander or even saliva, so it really just depends.
My advice to you would to be to check out
www.petfinder.com and do their breed search.
A really good breed selector that can help you find what "hypoallergenic" breeds you might want to consider, is
www.k9country.com .
(And beware. Any breeder that is selling these "poo" dogs, are very irrisponsible and you will most likely end up with an unhealthy/shedding dog, not to mention spending big big bucks.)
