| Non-Sporting Group Dogs in the Non-Sporting Group do not fit the criteria of the other breed groups, or may no longer perform the tasks they were originally bred for. These dogs all make wonderful family companions. |

American Bulldog
Hubby and I just keep researching to find the one we are happy with... I have fallen in love with this breed and I so want one, of course not until my bostons have moved on so many years for that, but you can never gather enough information so doing home work very early...
Who all owns one and what can you tell me about them? I know they are not for the Novice owner which Iam not and early socialization is a must. I would love to do Schutzhund if I can and with the breeds we have looked at this one seems to be the one that is capable for it. We were looking at the Mastiff breeds - Mastiff, Bull Mastiff, french and the Neo and they are just way to heavy set for this type of sport... Since I have my children in sports and the 4 bostons is why I don't have one yet, enjoying my boston's and letting my children enjoy their sports first, but am hoping sometime in the future I can add one to my home and hubby if he still wants can get his mastiff. I love the look of the one on Homeward Bound - Chase, just love the way that dog looks :-) Every time I see one I always say there's my dog lol Hopefully some day :-) ** Edit - Please do not put links to breeder web sites. Your welcome to post a picture of the dog with the owners permission. Thank you ** I love Josh would luv to get one that looked like him ![]() The link I put on for Josh I really like their dogs so would probably be lookin into them :-) of course I would make sure all was legal before I shipped a puppy here. Don't want to put any more trauma on a puppy then necessary and also don't want to be out of a puppy. Definately will make sure all is legal before hand :-) No dogs are banned here in Canada Saskatchewan If I can get a straight flight that would be so much better, but have plenty of time to do my homework ect ect, would be great by then if we can drive/fly up and pick our puppy out, I would be looking into a male. Going to enjoy my 4 boston's first before getting another dog and my kid's sports cause they really keep me busy.I looked at some on the net and they have a huge spread as well as a very huge head There was 2 on Animal Planet awhile back (think they were trying to call them pitt but the guy had papers saying they were AB) anyhow the male I think it was looked very nice but the female had this very huge square type head and huge spread and her front legs very bull like, almost looked like you could put a square box between her front legs with no problem :-( Not the look I like at all.... I prefer the look of the one on HomeWard Bound, and Cheaper By The Dozen :-) I really like the look of those dogs they seem to have a very nice build and well portioned. I love the colors of the one on Homeward Bound.... |
