| Non-Sporting Group Dogs in the Non-Sporting Group do not fit the criteria of the other breed groups, or may no longer perform the tasks they were originally bred for. These dogs all make wonderful family companions. |

Poor Dexter.
My poor baby was neutered today. He looks so sad. They had to put a cone around his head
When will he be back to his normal self? I hate to see him like this.I couldn't believe it when they told me he weighs 31 pounds The standard for a male Shiba is about 23 pounds. Its all muscle thought, so its ok. |

If he was neutered today, I'm sure he's still going to be a bit groggy from the anesthesia still. He may feel a little under the weather, and as far as I know, she should stay calm for a little while until their "boo boo" starts to heal. Had to do that with my 2 girls and Lilly (the rottie I had). He'll start to come around! It won't last forever, don't worry

Well he seems to be doing much better today. He is more alert and not as tired. But he still has a cone around his head. I took it off for about 2 secs, and he went right to licking. He is still taking the pain med's, but he doesn't seem like he is in pain, so i guess there working.

If he's all muscle, there's nothing to worry about weight-wise - he looks to be in good shape from his pictures. Plenty of Shibas go oversize - my Tai is about two times the standard height! Get well soon, Dex!
