Keeshond owners, anyone?

Hello everyone in non-sporting! I just posted a hello in the intro forum, but I'd be REALLY interested in getting to know any keesie owners, (or any one at all really!) especially those who are veterans in the show world.

I love keeshonden; they're such great dogs, and I really hope to be able to share "Orchid stories" once more.

I dont have a Keeshonden, but my friend owns one at the moment called Zeta and she shows her.

What are you planning to show Orchid in?

oh, your friend's keesie is a love! very pretty girl.

Orchid's still really young (6 months), so right now we're just in conformation classes.

I'll probably start with showing her in our local breed club, just because Orchid's breeder is a member of that. (Buckeye KCA)

The next show is coming up pretty soon, but I was told to let her adult coat fully come in before I start to show her.

If that doesn't work out, Orchid will be spayed, and she and I will work on agility together.

I decided to do showing first, because I heard that agility can sometimes be a little rough on puppies, especially when they're still growing rapidly.

This is true. Puppies are still in a huge developmental stage and they really should not do any hard exercise or jumping until they are ATLEAST 1 year of age.

Thank you. Lol shes all dirty there but she looks fabulous when shes all clean and brushed.

I hope Orchid does well in the ring. You could even do agility for fun once she's old enough, im sure she'd love it.

You PMed me too!!!! I will answer right away. I certainly miss our KT crew.

For those of you who don't speak Kees, Olykees and I (and many others) were a part of a breed specific forum called KeesTalk, which when shut down, was quite upsetting to the majority of our members.

Golly gosh and wow, it's nice to hear from an old e-bud!

Nice to see keesie owners again! They seem so rare sometimes. Kuchi's first show is a UKC show on Sunday and an AKC A Match next sunday, I only hope he won't bark the whole time in the ring. I'm so nervous.
