Bob's Big Boy: aka??

Thanks to Crossfire Bulldogs we may be adopting this adorable boy

Currently his name is Bob's Big Boy, The rescue lady said changing his name would be a good bonding experiance for the family. Any ideas on names?

They tell me hes great with kids, dogs, cats, anything. Hes laid back and enjoys his food. He came to the rescue severly overweight, they got his weight back down and hes doing good.
I have one phone interview left, then I can adop my pupper. Ill know for sure on Wednesday if hes ours or not. Barbara feels confidant our application will be finalized.

He has always looked like a "Jackson" to me..... you know, like Stonewall Jackson?

Good luck with your final interview and hopefully he and Kino will hit it off!

I hope you get to adopt him. Names? Hmmm.....I love the name Dudley for a bulldog, but I like the name Jackson as well.

We always said, if we get a Big boy we would name him Dozer. As in Bulldozer. That certainly looks like that would fit him! He's beautiful. Congrats!!

That's what I'm going to name my Bully when I get one from Crossfire...

I love the name Atikus. I saw a beautiful bully a few months ago and that was his name. He looks almost excatly like yours. congratulations!!!!!

Oh he is soo beautiful!!!! I think Winston (churchill), Oliver, Nigel . I don't know if you have owned a bully before but you are in for great time!

actually we have not, this will be the first...of many... We have a Sammy right now named Kino.
If we were adoptng a female I was going to name her Bella...

I cant name him Winston, I love that name too though, my friends Bulldog is named Winston.

Names are always the hardest decisions! Maybe when you see the dogs personality it will help with the naming process.

Emily, although your choice of "Kino" was not inspired by the works of Steinbeck, but perhaps you could continue the theme...

In "The Pearl", Kino's son is named "Coyotito"

In "East of Eden", the "Hamilton" family revolves the main plot.

Steinbeck's book "Travels with Charley" is about his drive around the country with his poodle, Charley

Now, you know all the names I suggest will be literature...so here are some more:

"Faulkner" (After William Faulkner)
"Snopes" or "Snope" (After Faulkner's book trilogy "Snopes")
"Boswell"

My husband suggested The Big Show after he saw how big he is! I dont know if you're into wrestling or not, but he is over 7 ft tall and 500 lbs!!!
