Non-Sporting Group Dogs in the Non-Sporting Group do not fit the criteria of the other breed groups, or may no longer perform the tasks they were originally bred for. These dogs all make wonderful family companions.

Sonja and other Bulldog lovers, check this out!

Taken today at the Iowa City Dog Show... the breed winner relaxing before group judging - it got as high as 100 degrees today, and the buildings were NOT air conditioned. No dogs died (thank dog), but most of the dogs ended up sitting or laying down in the ring. The St. Bernard spent the entire time on the ground, having his groin iced and paw pads spritzed with water - the judge let him go last, even though he wasn't the smallest dog in the ring - nice and considerate judges!

AAH! Isn't that a pitiful but prescious pic! You would think that they would no better than that....no air, I would have left with my baby.

What an adorable picture. I agree about the heat though, I wouldn't have put my dog through that either. Not good.

Cass.

I'm glad that no dogs died, but I can't imagine that the majority of them weren't in distress. That's just silly. Competition isn't everything!

Beautiful Bully!

Great dog, but I agree with everyone else- what's up with the no air? I, myself- much less my dog, could not have made it in that heat.
