I am on a waiting list for a Ragdoll kitty....
I have been such a wreck about Jim and while I am not ready for a new kitty today or tomm. or this month.... I know that I am going to want a new kitty. I had two kitties Jim who was more like a dog but thats another story.... and Maureen who is a typical cat who acts like a cat and is very skittish... she doesn't like to be handled or petted and is a typical cat.....
I decided that looking for a kitty keeps my mind off jim so I am not crying every minute.... and perhaps it will give me something to look forward to... I adore m ydogs of course but I really need a kitty friend.... I have never not had a kitty buddy. So I have decided that while I could go to the shelter, that would be too much of a crapshoot for me..... I could get a wonderful temperment or I could get a not so nice kitty that was more like Maureen...... So I figure that getting a kitty is the same as getting a puppy and a responsible breeder is aresponsible breeder so I did my homework and I am now on the waiting list for a Ragdoll kitty to come hom most likely in Mayish........ that gives me something to look forward to and still time to grieve my Jim...... so there ya go.... new kitty on the way.... Congrats Steph! An English teacher of mine from highschool had a Manx she got from a breeder, named Gate Wilder Squid (long story behind the name). Hearing her talk about him and his personality (which is common among all Manx breed cats) made me, if I were ever to go to the "dark side,"
consider a Manx as a possible pet.. or another breed (that I can't remember for the death of me). The reason I would ever consider these cats is because they are dog-like in their mannerisms. lolCongrats on your future Ragdoll! They're beautiful cats. |

That's great to here!
I just recently lost my childhood buddy. Peepers, she never really took to anyone else besides me. Everyone else thought she was a "female dog" (spelled diffierently lol). But she was my buddy, and I don't think I could go with out having a kitty around. So our friend Stacy surprised us and brought home a little kitten. DSH, and don't know the breed. But it really helped me in keeping my mind off of losing my buddy. I still miss Peepers dearly, and this kitten would never replace her, but she is so loving. She's helped to sooth my broken heart and a joy to watch and raise. I know what you're going through.. and can't wait to see pictures of your new baby when he/she arrives home! |

Congratulations on your future fur-baby. Their name says it all for these precious kitty's. Can't wait to see pictures. Are you getting a male or female? Do you have a name picked out? Maybe someone will give you a kitty shower like my friend just had for her Cornish Rex baby!
