Brand new Foals! eek!

One of my favorite mare was dripping milk on tuesday, so I skipped school and headed on down to the horse farm. She didn't go on tuesday night, but on wednesda night instead. When she first layed down, we knew that was it...she hardly ever lays down. At first, all we saw was a red bag...and started to freak out. We called the vet, and in the mean time, the mare got up, then down again. This time, a normal sac. she delivered a little girl, and the baby was followed by "the red blob!!!" We were scared to let the mare get up, fearing that it was her insides that had come out. When the vet came, we got the bag open and it turns out...it was another foal. It was about the size of a JRT and a colt. They had sonogramed her, and they only saw one foal, so it caught us by surprise. Soon after the baby was born, before the vet had a hance to get there, the boarder mare (who was due April 8th) decided that she was going that night too. She delivered her foal with little difficulties, except a little "jam" and the sholders. She also had a girl. This was the first time that I have seen a foal born, and I hit the jackpot seeing two. Maybe next time it will be a little less hectic. **My prayers for the little colt that hardly live.** She here are the pictures of the two(three) babies.

Oh, how sweet. They are adorable !!! . Its sad the other foal didn't make it

, atleast the mare and the foal are fine tho... btw, I looove the last 2 pictures.. SO CUTE !!!!!

Congrats on your new arrivals!!! I am sorry though about the little fellow that didn't make it...life works in strange ways sometimes.

YEAH! We took them outside today! They were so cute! I really do LOVE my favorite mare's foal (still needs a name). They other one....she is going to be a handfull!

I will have pictures..hopefully tongiht, I just have to pull them off the camera! yeah, they are so cute!
