RIP Loki (One Of My Ratties Died Today)

Last night I had Loki out with me on the computer, (he was in my hoodie), then I watched TV with him lying next to me, his head resting in my hand. I told him that if he needed to go, then it was ok with me. I told him I loved him. Finally I put him back in his cage and Dax ran right up and snuggled with him. I came home from work today and Loki was forver asleep on the bottom of the cage. As I removed him, Dax came down for one sniff, seemed like he was saying goodbye. They always were the closest out of the bunch. My 2 Maine boys.
I feel sad, but I feel good that he can now breathe at the bridge, he isn't suffering. In a way I feel kind of glad and peaceful for him, but it saddening to lose my boy. I knew it was coming though, he was barely able to breathe.

Rest Peacefully my little Loki-Man...

Loki had been sick for a while now with resp. problems. After many vet visits and much money spent later, he is finally out of his suffering.

Rest in Peace, little Rattie! I know how it feels to loose a much beloved Rodent.....my G. Pig died at the age of 5. She was having trouble breathing too (I could hear her breathing) and she couldn't even walk. After 2 days and 3 nights in that condition, I told my mom that if she wasn't able to get better or she hadn't died by that night, I was going to take her in to have her PTS to end her suffering.....she died that afternoon......

I'm sorry to hear about Loki, but at least he is better now.

I'm sorry Loki, rest in peace. I'm sorry for your loss Kelly, but I'm glad Loki isn't suffering anymore. He sure is a beautiful boy.

Ritz, that's how Loki was, I could hear him breathing so rapidly. I just knew he was suffering.
